My STory

Hello! Thank you for visiting caravvdesign.com, my name is Cara Van Valkenburg and I am a Boise, Idaho based graphic designer. I have lived in Idaho since I was eight years old and consider myself an Idaho native. I graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design 

While, I dabble in different mediums, design is my true passion! I draw inspiration from all different sources, from my family heritage to my dog, but predominantly from my surroundings. I am a nature lover and the vast outdoor landscape Idaho provides as well as the urban environment Boise offers feed my current designs. While a majority of my work is completed on the computer I also love to work with my hands and therefore you may find other textures incorporated into my work especially when it comes to displaying my pieces.
